I was privileged to meet long-time aviator and author, Guy Clapshaw, when I was at the Classic Fighters airshow in April.
This excerpt from his latest book tickles my fancy:
A New Zealander was travelling aboard a United Airlines flight. They served passengers soft drink and a packet of Hawaiian macadamia nuts before departure. Just before take-off, stewardesses walked the length of the cabin to ensure everyone's tray tables were folded away. The Kiwi was enjoying his macadamia nuts and hadn't folded his table away.
"Hold onto your nuts for take-off", the stewardess advised him while folding his table away.
